Polynucleotides are revolutionary anti ageing treatments that use biological molecules which are essentially chains of nucleotides. Sometimes they are referred to as Biorevitalizers.
They promote deep skin renewal and induce collagen production, providing long lasting rejuvenation.
At Bayati Clinic, we are highly selective of the products we introduce into the clinic. Ameela and Plinest are the leading approved polynucleotide agents available on the market. The polynucleotides used in these brands are purified, making them free from other components, such as proteins, which can trigger an immune response.
Polynucleotides are long chains of nucleotides, which are the building blocks of DNA. They help with cellular repair and regeneration, moisturisation, and protection against harmful external agents such as UV rays.
The polynucleotide chains bind water molecules, allowing them to provide a strong moisturising effect, which contributes to improved tissue elasticity.
They have a remarkable anti-free radical action. They counteract the skin damage which can accumulate due to various stressors, including cellular damage, stress, and exposure to UV rays, giving them a protective and cell damage reduction role.
Polynucleotides create an optimal environment for fibroblast growth, essential cells for tissue repair and regeneration. They are derived from Salmon and can activate fibroblast and stem cells, enhancing the body’s natural capacity to regenerate skin cells.
This multi-faceted functioning classifies polynucleotides as regenerative treatments, offering a unique and innovative approach in the field of skin care and rejuvenation.
The benefits they offer are wide ranging, and include:
We use Ameela®, one of the leading approved polynucleotide agents in the industry. The three subtypes of Ameela® include:
Polynucleotide injections can be safely used alongside our other treatments at Bayati Clinic.
They work especially well after our laser treatments, Endolift and CO2 Laser, in order to further contribute to collagen production at skin level.
Polynucleotide injections are generally associated with very little downtime. There is mild swelling at injection sites, which may persist for a few days after treatment. With any needle-based treatment there is a small risk of bruising around the injection sites.
Our needles and cannula devices used to administer Polynucleotide injections are very small, and designed to minimise local skin trauma and discomfort. Most of our patients report average discomfort levels in the region of 2/10. The treatment itself is quick, taking approximately 5-10 minutes to perform, which reduces the overall discomfort that our patients experience.
Yes, although this may cause a slightly increased risk of swelling
