The Science

Scar Lyft is a minimally-invasive combination laser and injectable treatment for facial and body scar reduction. It involves a 3-step protocol.

The overall result is an effective combination of scar flattening, texture improvement and volume restoration.

Step 1

Subcutaneous (internal) laser using an ultra-thin fibreoptic wire to release scar tethering under the skin, a process known as ‘subcision’. We utilise ultrasound guidance to accurately locate the tethered component. Breaking down the tethered component enables the scar to ‘lift’ off. This is performed with local anaesthesia to minimise your discomfort during treatment.

Step 2

Polynucleotide injection (performed immediately after step 1) to stimulate tissue regeneration and improve the quality of tissue beneath the scar. This step may be combined with a small amount of hyaluronic acid filler injection if there is volume loss associated with the scar.

Step 3

CO2 laser resurfacing is performed after 2-3 weeks to improve the skin texture appearance over the scar. Depending on the severity of the scar, repeating this step 2-3 times may be recommended to achieve a gradual texture improvement. This is performed with topical cream anaesthesia.

Therefore, determining exact costs of Scar Lyft can be difficult without a consultation and clinical assessment. The fee is primarily determined by scar length and number of laser sessions required. Step by Step
We will get you there

At every step of your treatment, we guide you through your aftercare period and provide you with the necessary topical recovery products. Our Calecim® stem cell serum is designed to accelerate scar healing and minimise your downtime.

Follow-up appointments with Dr Bayati are arranged after your Scar Lyft treatment. We review the results with you and advise any onward treatment, if recommended.
